My favorite eco-decor piece is a belt I made from my boyfriend's
guitar strap! His guitar strap is one you may have seen before...it's fabric
and the colors are the rainbow. Here's an example of what it looks like.
Anyway, his strap was pretty old, and during a show, it broke, so I took
it...and thought...if I cut the ends off, I bet I can use it for a
belt. The hardware to adjust the strap is metal, so I took a Brillo pad to
it and shined it up. I made a nifty belt from something that would have
been in the garbage, and I get to take a little piece of my boyfriend
with me all the time.
