The book was written with a pretty good overtone, although they did have a few references in it pertaining to sex which may be unsuitable for younger readers. Most of the recipes in the book sounded good, but they seemed like they would take pretty long to prepare [except for the chapter on Microwave Meals]. It is very comprehensive and has a section for everything. I think it would be a good book for beginners, especially those who enjoy cooking. It does have a very good appendix of animal ingredients in the back, as well. Good book for beginners and long-time vegans, as well.
