This book is full of interesting and useful facts that will help you convince your family and friends that you won't die of malnutrition if you become a vegetarian. It also provides some smart answers to questions like "Plants have feelings, don't they? So why don't you give up plants, too?" The book also gives suggestions on how to handle embarrassing situations like Thanksgiving dinner or dinner at a friend's house.
What I found most interesting was the section of the book that was devoted to the history of food. In this section you will find the history of well-known vegetarian foods, such as tofu, and the history of less known foods, such as quinoa ("keen-wah"). You will also find advice on nutrition and on planning a healthy and tasty diet.
The last chapter of the book is dedicated to recipes! I tried the hummus and whole-grain pudding recipes and they were very good! The last pages of the book are devoted to the "Off you go!" section. In this section you will find a list of organizations, websites, magazines, books, and cookbooks that will help you become a healthy, well-informed, and cool teen vegetarian.
