I just bought this great book on teen vegetarianism. It's looking like an overall great informational book. It not only has recipes, but lots of nutritional info, like how to get the right amount of iron, calcium, protein, etc. It has vegan and veggie recipes, ideas for school lunches and helps you compensate if you are an athlete. It also has some reasons why people turn veggie, like cruelty to animals (a few slightly graphic examples), hormones, and the reason why SO may people have lactose intolerance. It is definitely a good choice for teen readers that want to be well informed and nutritious about their eating habits. It even debunks a few myths about vegetarianism. And it has a little note to parents at the beginning to reassure them about their child's choices.
