- If your pets have left their own 'distinctive' scent on your carpets or upholstery, liberally sprinkle on bicarbonate of soda (baking soda), leave for 15 minutes or longer depending on the stench, and then vacuum up. This will freshen, without harming your little friend.
- Mix one part white vinegar with five parts water to clean up pet pee pee. This really works, without using any chemicals which could harm your pet.
- Instead of using cat litter tray fresheners, which smell too strong for kitty's delicate nose, and get in her fur (which can't be good when she's grooming), just sprinkle bicarbonate of soda in the bottom of the tray before you put the litter in!
- Spray a light mist of vegetable oil in pets food bowls to make them easier to clean, plus the oil will stop their skin from drying.
