Scrap the Snapple

By Stephanie Scarborough

This is another recipe for those of you looking for a frugal-but-sweet beverage. This is a lot like Snapple or Tazo tea drinks you find at convenience or grocery stores, only way cheaper. You'll need:
  • Brewed tea (any kind - herbal, black, green, or whatever you like)
  • Regular ol' apple or white grape juice

All you need to do is mix the tea and juice in whatever proportions you desire, depending on how sweet you like it. Start with half juice and half tea, then increase or decrease the proportion of juice to tea to suit your tastes. This is a tasty way to stretch juice (much tastier than just diluting it with plain water), and healthier than sweetening it with sugar.
