10:00 am- Breakfast of 'idli', a south Indian dish
which includes wheat and other grains crushed in a mixer and cooked
overnight and the next day in a cooker, then sereved with tomato or
chili sauce) This dish is pure vegan.
12:00 pm- Rice and dal (lentils) with pickled mango and coconut chutney,
chapati or roti (round bread made from whole grain wheat and water, similar to
pizza dough, and baked on a frying pan and served warm), vegetables (like tomatoes,
potatoes, onions, and bell peppers fried with chilis and traditional Indian spices)
3:00 pm- Tea/Coffee which includes 1/4 part milk, a vegetarian noodle dish, similar to Ramen.
7:00 pm- Dinner with my family is the same as lunch, except that a sweet dish is included:
mango squash. When it's in season, the pulp of the Mango is crushed with sugar in a mixer and then served in bowls.
