I absolutely LOVE Strike Anywhere! They are my most favorite band; their lyrics and sound blow me away, plus the guys are totally cool and down to earth. I loved their Jade Tree debut, "Change is a Sound," but I love this one better.
As their sophomore album, there is a slight difference in this CD, but these guys from Virginia are still the same angry political punks they're known for being. Although the guitar riffs are friendlier to the ears, Thomas Barnett's vocals still manage to rip through and there are plenty of protest chants. The lyrical content is political, but in a mature and poetic way. It's his words that set them apart from other bands that play with the political gimmicks.
Just reading the words get me pumped and ready to organize a protest and scream my head off. I really don't know what else to say - I just love this band! Go buy or listen to this CD and check out their tour dates because they throw one heck of a live show.
