As parents ourselves, we are keenly aware of the both the challenges and opportunities that Internet communication presents for families. We want to bring our children into the electronic age as safely as possible while still allowing them to harness the incredible possiblities of the World Wide Web.
Here at VegetarianTeen.com, we've created a system with your safety and privacy in mind. Our writers are allowed to use psuedonyms, and the staff fields all outside communications in order to protect their privacy. All of the under 18 contributors published on the site have a parental consent form on file with our staff stating the policies of VegetarianTeen.com, copyright information, contact information, and our commitment to maintaining the integrity of this site. We are available to answer questions on the phone should you have any concerns about our security.
Our message boards have an automatic "foul language filter," and you'll see that we are quick to delete abusive or inappropriate posts. We are careful to allow posters the freedom to express their ideas, but we do insist that they "keep it clean" and show respect for others. Our vegteen email list is fully moderated.
Parents, we encourage you to further investigate us: who we are and why we do what we do. We welcome inquiries from parents and are happy to field communication through you until you feel sure that your children are in safe hands with us.
