My best veg friend recently told me about these non-bleached, environmentally friendly, non animal-tested pads (or sanitary napkins, or female hygene products, or whatever you want to call them) that you can buy in the grocery store. That got me thinking, and I was wondering if you have ever heard of similarly made bathroom tissue or toilet paper. I would love to have non-bleached stuff, and animal/environmentally friendly would be even better!

ANSWERS:
Laura, age 16: Many people avoid using bathroom tissue at home,
instead using a bidet or even just a large cup of
water (which is poured accordingly), then drying off
with a towel. It sounds icky but most of the world
actually doesn't use toilet paper ... as for
unbleached toilet paper, I'm sure if you asked around health food
stores and sanitary companies, you'd have luck.
